Well, I think they are at least. Maybe hot to the touch, but not burning takes?

I am also a huge fan of blue cars, and this Tesla blue is particularly pretty. I almost forgot, there is Skyebait in the article.

I am seeing several of these a day in suburban Seattle now. I wonder when the tax gift will run out, and if the base will care. Maybe the nicest thing I can say about it is that it appears to be glassy with good visibility.
Is the switchgear still MB-based (with apparent new coverings) or in-house?

Baha tell me about it. Running as a Democrat in one of the biggest republican strongholds in the state. Many of the people are progressive but put their fiscal policy beliefs above their social thoughts.

these all seem like reasonable takes, like when you leave coffee sitting out for about a half hour so its cool enough to chug it but it still warms your insides

I think it was! When I drove a P100d it definitely was because I got out of my mother in laws E550 Cab and was confused when I went to shift with the same shifter. It funny because when I drove this car last Saturday, I had only seen 3 ever. I’ve seen like 5 since then including a red one I know I had not stumbled across before.

Haha maybe that is good. I don’t really want to tick off Tesla people(I’ll never hear the end of it) but I wanted to give the car a fair review. I really did like the car though!

I don’t know about all that but slapping a political sticker on your car before your temp plates are even off is an interesting move.

I had an Oppo sticker on my ISF before I left the lot but I feel that’s fair game.

The entire review should just say:
This is the perfect car.

But, it’s not the perfect car. There is no perfect car. Well except the LC500. That is the perfect car.

The park mechanism kind of triggered it for me. I have experienced this on a 2015 S, I think it was, which I seem to recall had similar switchgear to a pre-facelift W212. It also didn’t have any glaring build quality issues, but the interior was still a degree behind what I would want at the ~90K original price point. As I like to say, with these, you are buying a powertrain, and you get a tablet, bodywork, and interior for free - sometimes that’s apparent.
There’s a white one in my workplace parking garage. I think I saw 3 yesterday.

It’s definitely not what a 90k car should be, but I think a base Model 3 will be a fantastic car for the $(if it ever gets as low as they say)

True dat, mid-engine perfection vs. rear engine complicated engineering, to compensate for the engine being in, you know, back

I’m in Bothell (edge of Mill Creek), I’ve seen quite a few Model 3's lately, including someone on my street who just got a blue one.

I made a reservation about a month after launch. I was certain there would be endless delays so I’ve tried not to think about it but I sure am getting excited. I hope I’ll be in a position to afford it when my time comes ha!

Yeah at 40K with a few things, maybe. But at 55K (and let’s be honest, much of the time a 60K+ BMW or MB can be had for 55K with no effort), you have to be devoted.
